i'm back,

Who doesn't love a good dramatic movie? Definitely not me..this genre is a genre that has different branches and ways of approaching it.Today i will be discussing the genre of drama..before i do so here are a couple great drama films..

Drama films are a type that depends on the passionate and social advancement of sensible characters. While Drama films depend intensely on this sort of improvement, sensational subjects assume a huge part in the plot also. Frequently, these emotional topics are taken from exceptional, genuine issues. Regardless of whether saints or courageous women are confronting a contention from an external perspective or a contention inside themselves, Drama film expects to recount a fair story of human battles.

Me and my partner are thinking about taking the approach of doing our opening scene in the drama genre as is a genre that interest us and we strongly like these movies. In this genre there are many different branches that we can take and make our scene opening be everything and more we want. I'm very excited to see what approach we are going to take and start creating our film.

Teen Comedies

Finally i have started my look for the perfect genre... today me and my partner decided to research the genre of teen comedies. What exactly is teen comedies...well here is the definition. 

Teen comedies: 

Sub genre of Comedy, the genre is targeted at teenagers and young adults in which the plot is based upon the interests of teenagers.Teen comedies are often set in schools.  These interests include coming of age, first love, rebellion, conflict with parents, teen angst or alienation. Often these normally serious matters are presented in a stereotyped or trivialized way. Teen comedies are often in schools, or contain characters that are of school age

The genre of teen comedies is very familiar as it's what i have grown up watching, and i know much about them, especially as a teenage girl i enjoy watching such movies. This is why this could be a genre that me an my partner would be interesting in doing our opening film about.

Rebel Without A Cause

One of the first teen movies ever released was released in 1955 the name of the film was a Rebel Without A Cause, this film was successful allowing others to continue making these films. 

Teen comedies came of age in 1950 because it was not long before this that the concept of a teenager was born. The idea of an intermediate stage between childhood and adulthood, with its own particular characteristics. Just like the early teen comedies, any film in this genre made today will contain some stereotypical high school characters.

 Hello again, fellow blog viewers...

This is Ana Willson Cypress Bay student and upcoming film opening producer.

In this blog i will be talking about what ideas i have going in my head as i am still in my brainstorming phase...hopefully in a very near future i will have a clear view of my project and have it ready to make it reality. Starting is always weird as we never really know what approach we want to take and aren't sure of the next steps. Moreover, what i do know is that i have a chance to make a wonderful project that will reflect upon what i learned in my AICE media class. This class has never failed to teach me as i never thought i would be capable of creating a film opening. 

Now what what what will be my next step..well i definitely need to do more research but i have narrowed it down to two genres romance or drama as that is the genres i feel i could do the best in. My goal for this week is to furthermore research this genres and elaborate and make a decision. 

This project is already teaching me tons of things such as time management, team work, organization skills and many more. Im ready to take upon this challenge as i want to put my skills at test. After doing so many projects in my class i have gathered different skills such as editing, marketing skills, different techniques that this project will test. I'm i nervous? well the answer is yes as this is the of the biggest projects we have yet to do. As i am excited i am also nervous for the outcome but ready for such challenge.

The beginning

 Hi there fellow blog viewers! 

My name is Ana Willson and i am in the process of creating my Cambridge Portfolio. 

I can't believe i am starting this process of creating my project, there is so much in my mind and this is going to be the place where i can leave it all out....wow seems like i have to do so much research and don't know where to start. Many questions are all over my mind right now such as: What story will i be creating? What genre am i going for? How i will developing this storyline? and many more. Never did i believe that i would be starting a blog, but now i am excited to be able to use this platform to put my thoughts together and in order, as it will make me organized and moreover have all the research i need to create a great product as the outcome. 

The genre of this project is what seems best to start with....will it be comedy,adventure,horror,romance; there is just to much options to choose from and as of right now i am confused in which i will be proceeding, but i do know that it has to be something that i am truly passionate about as i want to enjoy doing this project. Moreover, i want to make this project worth while as i will be putting so much time into it. I cant wait to share this project with all of you and i am very ready to make the best of it. 

This is my hello and goodbye as i will be making very hard decisions that require a lot of thinking.... so stay tuned and i'm happy we are going through this process together!

Music Marketing

    To start of this project was a challenging project as it had many parts to it and many things to take into consideration. First we had to research different record labels such as:  Elektra Record and Fueled by Ramen.  Here is our music research chart in which we did elaborate research on these record labels and got a further understanding on how record labels work and different marketing approaches to make their artist successful.

After this process we had to create our own artist and develop different approaches to make this artist successful, we brainstormed many ideas and finally decided to create our character Issac. Issac is a teenager that grew up in Tampa and is moving to California to pursue his music career, we choose California as it's the place were many opportunities come along and were our artist would benefit more being. Issac is a rock star that has many socials in which he will create content to become known.  

Me and my group decided to create different socials for Issac such as Instagram, Tik Tok and Twitter.

Moreover,  we planned his image based on putting different ideas together we all decided on the style of Issac as it fits his brand as a rock star, then we styled different hoodies and masks as we saw fit since we as teenagers which is his target audience know what is on style and decided upon the style of the trippy happy face. 

Finally we put everything together and created our presentation as we believed would be best understood and elaborated.This project took time and effort but i believe we did a great job we all put our skills together to make it happen, Sophia and Ethan did a very good job editing the music video and me and Isabela did very well in researching and at the end we put everything together and it became this great artist. 

This project helped me understand music marketing better and whats behind an artist which is his brand and the label. It also showed me how to furthermore do research and gain more understanding over a topic. The aspects of this project such as teamwork will help me in my Cambridge portfolio as i will be working in a team to accomplish my portfolio, also the aspect of time management will also help me as we had to work to put this project together in a certain amount of time. Researching and editing also will come in handy when doing my portfolio i learned a lot of great tips and tricks with this project that will allow me to be more successful in projects in the future. 

Very amazing and fun opportunity to learn about music marketing and to create a whole artist!  

Music Marketing

Music Marketing project intro...

     In this music marketing project that me and my group had to develop for AICE Media Studies we got assigned the genre of rock, through this we had to do extensive research in which i learned a lot about rock and how rock record companies work. We began our research by brainstorming ideas for the artist we'll be creating and what each of us believes is a good idea. After we came to a conclusion we spilt the work between all of us.I had to do research on the record label that's called Elekra Records, this was a very interesting record label to research as many well known rock bands and artist formed or form part of it. Such as, Queen, AC/DC, Twenty One Pilots, The Doors and others. We still haven't faced any challenges as i believe everything is going smoothly and we are communicating very well. Our next steps for this project is to record he music video, edit and finish music marketing presentation that we will be presenting to our fellow students, i am very excited for this project as i believe is very interesting and fun!
